Eating, Drinking and Socialising

Eating, Drinking, Socialising

Here are some of our favourites. Please let us know of any other gems you find!

Beach Clubs and Chiringuitos

On Del Cristo beach there are two great Chiringuitos (beach clubs), Havana Beach and Lolailo. You can chill out watching the sun set, have a few drinks. They also serve food so you really have no reason to move!

There are loads more on the larger beach, walk towards the Old Town to find them.

Bars and Restaurants

You have three options when you want to go for a drink and/or something to eat:

  1. The Old Town. 1 min walk from Centro. 20 mins walk from Puerto - Turn right out of the apartment building and walk down the main road. For a more scenic stroll head walk along the beach.
  2. There are some great little places on the Marina, it takes 3 mins to walk down from Puerto - Head right out of the apartment block and turn right at the first roundabout. The Marina is 20 worthwhile minutes walk from Centro.
  3. Get in the car and drive a short distance to one of our favourites! See our Personal Recommendations below:

Old Town:

  • Taberna Miguel: Traditional Spanish, great steaks! Calle Caridad, 30.
  • Pizzería La Familia: Eat in, take out or delivery pizza. The owners are Italian which says it all. Av. España, 64.
  • Restaurante La Casa del Rey: The best tapas in Estepona, hangout of the coolest kids in town. Calle Raphael, 7.
  • La Esquina del Arte: Gorgeous tapas in very relaxed surroundings. Calle Villa, 8.
  • Restaurante El Pescador: Unbelievable seafood and paella. Av. España, 1

Marina:

  • Rosatti’s Italian Restaurante: Great food, great views over the Marina. Its upstairs.
  • Cafe - Bar Reinaldo: Great for a drink, always busy. They also do simple food for a quick snack. On the left as you enter the Marina through the main entrance.
  • Pato de Pekin: Fantastic Chinese food and great value. Downstairs, towards the far right of the Marina.
  • La Sabrosa cafe bar: Great little spot for lunch or dinner, mix of food – great Thai. They do a great value lunch deal. On the road opposite the Marina.

PERSONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

Restaurante El Higuerón: This place is sensational. You need a car to get there but they do have suckling pig and lamb! Phone in advance to get a table.

Jardines De La Cala: A little bit of Ibiza in Estepona! You need a car to get here as its only 5 mins drive from the centre of Estepona, but its up a dirt road through the bamboo forest - Definitely not walkable! Phone in advance to get a table.

Rio La Cala,29680 Estepona. Open 7pm - 2am. Tel: +34 628 21 19 32.

La Escalera: A drive to Benahavis takes a little over 20 mins, but if you're a foodie this is the place for you! This is our favourite at the moment in Benahavis, the lamb and pork are amazing!
